update: Zoundry support Textpattern starting on version 1.0.25 and we’ve got some fresh docs courtesy of Priyantha Jayanetti: Zoundry 1.0.25+
Zoundry Blog Writer is a nice choice if you want to manage your Textpattern powered weblog from your desktop and, of course, if you use Windows. It’s pretty easy to configure so, let’s give it a try!:
- Go to Tools > Blog Account Settings in order to add your weblog to Zoundry1
- You will see the new account screen2. I could say now just follow the instructions, but …, please, click “Next”.
- On the New blog Account screen3, you should add some kind of “label” for Account Name field which will helps you to remember what is this account.
- For the Account Type you can choose between Blogger, MetaWeblog or Movable Type. Pick one, and type your user name and password.
- On the XML-RPC URL you should write something like http://yourblog.url/rpc/
- For now – Textpattern 4.0.x – File Uploads through XML-RPC will not be implemented so, on the next screen, select FTP as file upload way, and configure it properly.
- Once your weblog is configured, you should choose it from the blog icon just at the top of the articles edit area4.Remember that each Textpattern section is an RPC blog before to post to the wrong section.
Just that, enjoy it and remember that the kind guys at Zoundry have a nice documentation
